Debris on the freeway

Hit a good size piece of wood on the freeway going 65 and damaged my driver side skirt panel, dinged my wheel and tore a piece of rubber on the sidewall of my tire. I'm usually pretty good at avoiding crap on the road but this time a pick up truck cut me off at wrong time and blocked my view. I didn't have enough time to react.

Hopefully I can get my insurance to cover the repair with 0 deductible and/or my rates going up under no fault.

I hit debris once and it was half as much deductible when I confirmed that the tire was freshly fallen off another vehicle and still moving, vs just sitting in the road.

I had a simliar thing happen to me a few years back. Rav-4 swerved out of in front of me and I had no time to react. Ended up hitting a full sized wooden baby crib. Shattered my headlight housing and dented my bumper. I feel your pain man theres nothing I could do but fix it out of pocket unless because I didnt want to deal with insurance

Insurance will cover that, however, you'll have to pay a deductible. Your premium won't be affected though.

This had happened to me a few months back. Going onto 92, the truck in front of my ran over a tire (this is an actual tire, not just parts of it) and kicked it up. It smashed into my front end, knocking the front bumper off a bit, ripping driver side fender lining, and knocking off the bumper cover. The shop had to buy a new bumper cover and fender liner, as well as paint the whole front end. I had to pay a $250 deductible on it, but my rates weren't affected.

I feel your pain man..

When my car was two weeks old, another driver ran over a piece of concrete slab on the 680 (probably fell off a pick up truck after a demolition job) and sent it flying to my car

If I were driving a little bit slower - might have gone through the windshield.
