teh GT5 scic challenge cup series

I was talking to JC who was thinking about building a miata track car and only to run in to funding problems. I realize we have GT5 why not have a race series online?!

This is what i'm proposing :
A 10 round(Track) race series with each round having two races. You will be awarded points based on your finishing position up to the 10th place.

Drivers:
open to all with a maximum of 16 drivers this may change based on the the the track with the lowest maximum cars.

Schedule:
TBA

Tracks:
Tsukuba Circuit
Suzuka Circuit
Laguna Seca Raceway
Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course
Daytona International Speedway Road Course
Autodromo Nazionale Monza
Nürburgring
Circuit de Monaco (Côte d'Azur)
TBD
TBD

Cars:
One car maybe used for the entire race series and meets the following tech specs:
Maximum HP: 300hp
Minimum Weight: TBA
Drivetrain: FR/MR/FF
Suspension: Fully Customizable Kit
Tires: Racing Soft
Full Aerodynamics

Points:
Here are the points schedule:
1st position: 25 points
2nd: 18 pts
3rd: 15 pts
4th: 12 pts
5th: 10 pts
6th: 8 pts
7th: 6 pts
8th: 4 pts
9th: 2 pts
10th: 1 pts

And to make it interesting a $10 entry with the top three drivers decided by points at the end of the series will take home a portion of the pot as stated below:
Champion 50% of the pot
2nd 35%
3rd 15%

What do you guys think?

Spec car would be nice but the idea is car set up. This is how we make the same car different.

If we all had s2k with a 300hp limit but were allowed gear box, diff and suspension settings. This will make for some exciting racing.

I also think we should do a cup race, if we can't lan then we set up certain nights and a certain time to do a race.

exactly.

If I recall there is no specific way to achieve 300hp with a s2k. It'll be surprising to see which mods will actually give more torque or more top end. Same with the gearing set ups.

my intent of using racing soft tires is that they don't last more than 5 laps. Making us save our tires.

a spec s2k series sounds pretty good with the upgrade limits. or even showroom stock To be honest i just want to go racing with my friends. we are all car people, I'm sure everyone of us plays gt5 because we dream to be a race car driver.

we all can meet up online once a week for the next 10 weeks for 2 races per week. and of course this isn't limited for socal, norcal i know your reading this your more than welcome to join.

since i like the spec s2k series idea. lets go with the following specs
car: honda s2000
Tires: sports-softs
Full weight reduction
Suspension: Fully Customizable Kit
max 300HP
No aero
upgraded transmission (5 or 6)
LSD
twin clutch and flywheel

this makes it simple and balanced for everyone

yea in 5 laps even under the most extreme conditions, I don't think tire management will be an issue. Even in the drifting rooms, I will go 8 laps on sports soft tires before I burn them out completely. 5 laps on racing tires i think will last over 5 laps.
