fin you do know that cable connection is shared with your area, such like a Local Area Network (LAN), now the gateway server that provides service to ur area is different from the one that ruben is in cuz he is in another area which has his own gateway server. my friend who has cable internet had problems with torrent dls with it and i wouldn't because the default firewall that cable internet company has placed on his area. but once again timewanner might be different from comcast.

This i pretty interesting, but makes sense as to why they other team always gets there so fast, found it on a COD Forum.
--------
"HQ isn't random at all, you have to understand how they have it setup and how they said they meant for it to be. Generally the team who captures it, the spawn point will spawn closer to them, why not give them an advantage as they were already good enough to take the first spawn point, and if the other team wants to take the next they have to be able to out kill.
And then you get in situations where half of your team is dead, or all but one and the timer runs out, then the HQ spawns on the guy who wasn't dead and in turn gets killed by the enemy team and then they capture it.
You may not agree with how this was setup but it is working as IW intended. Plus as Beef said, they picked maps which are medium in size so its not a real hassle to get to the HQ's."

I would call the ISP customer service and have them walk you through the set up. Don't hang up until you are online and everything works including a headset.
It would be a shame to waste 600 dollars if you aren't willing to make a free phone call that takes up maybe 20 mins of time.
