People are so quick to judge a game they've barely even grasped

http://gamer.blorge.com/2010/11/27/g...plete-reviews/

and I quote:
Ruben Rojas Gran Turismo 5 is a big disappointment. It's not worth the long *** delay it had, good thing I didn't pay full price for this crap
Ruben Rojas License test is way too hard, this games takes too much fun out of it. Don't like this level **** that they added, if I have the cash then I should be able to buy whatever the ****'n car I want. $250 oil change, that's way more than what I pay for on my REAL car. They're just way over doing this VIDEO game

I've said it to Ruben many times due to his utter disappointment with GT5

"there's a reason why the license tests are so hard"
"there's a reason why the special stages are so hard"
"if all you want to do in this game is buy a GTR and mod it and make it fast and crash into people for the pass, this is not a game for you"

I think there's a lot of stuff that has yet to be revealed in this game. I'm level 16 and finished all of my licenses. If damage is based on the level curve, you can't be sloppy with your driving.

Yamauchi probably feels that players must first get their skills to a level where they can drive well before introducing race losing (and money losing) effects as crippling full on damage.

I never used a wheel on any of the GT series... I'll probably need it for the S, but i've been able to get up to ia/ib usually with just a controller. I just started last night and I'm gunning for silver and gold trophies in the beginner classes. i'm a measly lvl 3, but i'll probably be playing more this week. I need to get used to a PS controller again.. I've mainly have been using keyboard and mouse for the past couple of years.

EDIT: I personally like the game so far. I just wish the US version had the Japanese intro. "Moon over the Castle"

Timmay I hear you on the Japanese intro vid I prefer it too.

But I must say the music in the game is well done.

Same with the engine sounds. My 22b rumble

well the logitech driving force GT ($100-$150) is pretty good for its money, however i have the logitech G25 (~$300) and its amazing. they replaced the G25 with the G27 (same price) which is the same but with more buttons and shift lights.

The license tests on this game are way too hard, I don't like sitting there for hours trying to beat one test. When I can be doing races and trying to get close as possible to finishing the game.

wait I thought the way you play this game was by bumping into other cars?

Only 3 of my cars have some mods(the slow crappy cars) the rest are stock.

I always used a controller for the GT games. Used a wheel before on GT 4, didn't really like it.
