Question 04 WRX detonation/loss of power

is anyone out there having the same problems as me? I'm feeling a loss of power between 3.5k - 6k rpms. It feels like it's hesitating and I am also hearing detonation occuring in this range. If anyone else is experiencing this pm me or post a reply.

What you need to do is to take it to the dealer and have the ecu reflashed. It's a problem with the new STI's.

BTW, what happened to my mod status?

or you can order up a XEDE + turboback from Vishnu which will fix the problem and add a ton of power, instead of losing 20whp/ wtq by going to the dealership.

have an 04 wagon, about 2500 mi, runs fine and have switched gas brands from valero, chevron and even costco...but i would not try that again, i would just probably stick to chevron and later maybe try 76

the dealer should take care of it and that turboback idea is not bad at all, thinkin about doing that as well

hope your scoob is fine now

cheers:banana:
