Around how much does one wind up spending making their own custom stick? Seeing how unavailable the official ones are out here, I'm thinking of tearing into one of my old ps2 sticks with unresponsive controls and making it worthy.

laoba should be able to answer that question + depending on if you need to mod it to make everything fit.

Interact Shadowblade

I loved the Dreamcast version, the ps2 version though was crap. The stick felt like it was pieced together by some sweatshop worker in a pitch black room

if it's just the buttons/stick that felt crappy, replacing the part should make it more awesome.

have you checked out srk tech forum?

interesting read o.O

Many Samsung LCD televisions default to "16:9" as their output mode, which displays 1080p and 720p games from the Playstation 3 (and possibly the 360) incorrectly, resulting in a cropped image that is missing a couple inches of visible screen real-estate around the ENTIRE perimeter of the game screen. You can confirm your current output mode on Samsung televisions by pressing the 'P.MODE' button on your remote. It will display your screen's current output mode.

Solution? If you own a Samsung LCD television, PRESS YOUR P.MODE BUTTON UNTIL YOU GET THE "JUST SCAN" MODE! This will facilitate the correct resolution and aspect ratio for SFIV and if you've defaulted to 16:9 output, it will address this problem and gain you some additional viewable real estate in various games - INCLUDING Street Fighter IV where this problem is quite apparent.

didn't we get you a samsung, franco o.O

and I too have a samsung, never seemed to notice any cropping, but I'll check it out when I get home

considering how long we had to wait for SSF2HDRMX then 3 months later SF4 comes home, I'll pass.
