I only use the PIAAs. Even though they are expensive, they are quality bulbs. I have yet to have one blow out on me. I would stay away from Nokya bulbs. Those bulbs burn out all the time.

That is what I keep telling people. Check out Tire Rack. They started carrying the PIAA bulbs and at reasonable prices too.

Does anyone have Raybrigs? How are they working out for you?
Oh, and are PIAA's DOT legal? Last thing I want is some piggie bothering me for something as trivial as bulbs

I use PIAA's too.

Dont get the 85w ones unless you want to discolor the bulb cover inside the lights.

They work awesome tho. Havent had one go out since i got them over a year ago.

My friend has the same ones and one of his went out in half the time.

I would still get PIAA's tho. There top quality.

From my understanding, all of the PIAA bulbs are DOT legal. I used to get a sticker from them on the platnium series. But now on all the new bulbs I do not. I guess all of them are legal such that they do not need to print out a sticker anymore.

I read that hella doesn't make yellowstars anymore. well www.rallylights.com does not carry them in H3 anymore. I'm sure they can be found somewhere else, but hard to find.

but now i see PIAA ion yellows are cheaper now... around $18 i think for a bulb instead of $50+ before. i forgot the link for the PIAAs, i found it in that "other" forum in dressup.

my ghetto cheap ass plan

Well...lets just say I took the "less expensive" route... So I dropped about $20 on ebay and bought some PlasmaGlow Xenon 80w bulbs for my 96 outback for fogs and headlights/brights and I love them!! Sure I have never had the PIAA's, hella's or any other high quality product, but if you are looking for a low budget plan with good results thats the way to go.

I have noticed a SIGNIFIGANT difference, especially with the foglights. With my fogs I can see now atleast twice as wide and much farther.

Nice! I guess if/when I do get a set, I'll just keep the box in my trunk or something, just in case some piggie asks
Oh, and I'm still curious about Raybrigs!

Raybrigs are a little bit more expensive from what I have seen in terms of price when compared to PIAAs and other companies. But if I had to compare the PIAA and Raybrigs, they are about the same in quality. The only thing I do not like Raybrigs is that they do not make a lot of common bulb applications like the 9000 series. Very hard to find and get.

Sounds good. Thank you! Yet something else to consider... though I'm leaning more towards PIAA's
