3rd Annual Lafayette Reservoir BBQ meet - Sunday, October 31

Well I didn't post it over the summer but we have to do one this year.

This will be the 3rd Lafayette Reservoir Meet.

DATE: Sunday, October 31, 2004 (weather permitting, hard to bbq in the rain)

TIME: Noon to 4:00 (I'll probably show up between 11:00 and 11:30 to set up)

LOCATION: Lafayette Reservoir at the picnic tables above the East side of the dam (in Lafayette off Hwy 24, see directions below)

DIRECTIONS: From SF, Hayward, Oakland, Fremont, Berkeley etc. Take whatever roads you take to get to Highway 24 East. Take Highway 24 East through the Caldecott tunnel and exit at the Acalanes Road Exit. Continue straight onto Mount Diablo Blvd. Take Mt. Diablo Blvd approximately 1 mile and turn right where the reservoir entrance is. After you pay at the kiosk, turn left and park at the end of the lot. Go up the hill and I will try to get the area that overlooks the parking lot again.

From Concord, Walnut Creek, San Ramon, Pleasanton, Livermore, Antioch, Pittsburg, Vallejo, etc. Take Highway 680 to Highway 24 West. Once on Highway 24, exit at Deer Hill Road towards Central District Moraga. Turn right on 1st Street (this takes you back under the freeway) and then turn Right on Mount Diablo Blvd. Take Mount Diablo Blvd. approximately 1.5 miles to the reservoir entrance on the left side. After you pay at the kiosk, turn left and park at the end of the lot.

If you bring a case of drinks, it would be enough. If there is enough interest and enough people chip in, I could pick up a tri-tip.

It would be great if someone can bring an ice chest with ice. Not sure if that was an issue last year.
