So yeah, 275's wouldn't fit (w/out rubbing) on stock struts w/springs. I paid $1040 + S&H for them. My loss is your gain. $900 picked up
4x 275/35ZR18 Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec
Set of 4 tires with less than 100 miles on them (ie practically brand new).

It sounds like Huck has DPT's +44 and the 275's were rubbing against the suspension when turning hard or at full lock in reverse. I know the Dunlops run a little larger than other brands 275's though. You can compare specs on Tire Rack. I've done a lot of research and pretty much everything I've read on IWSTI says that 275's will rub the rear fenders and with 265's you're still taking a chance especially with passengers. I've run 275's on my car before, but they were on Grids (18x9.5 +38), so I had a little more suspension clearance and my rear fenders are rolled almost flat. I'm running stock struts and RCE Black springs(might still rub on the softer stock springs).
If you decide to go with 265's keep in mind that the overall diameter will be a little smaller than the stock 245's, so your mileage will be slightly off.
