Anyone know the story behind this car? (White 05 STi with 800whp, vid)

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/M...-in_122625.htm

Does anyone know anything about this car? Where it's from, who built it, and more importantly a list of mods for the motor/drive train?

800hp is no friggin joke, and it's hard to believe even when seeing a video like this, there's always the chance of doctoring by someone so it's hard to know. Is this real? It looks and sounds great from what I can tell in the video... Imagine the traction problems with 800hp? Having traction problems alone on AWD means you're making an insane amount of power, but I can't imagine the kind of problem that kind of car would have!

Any info would be appreciated! I want to know what kind of engine, turbo, ECU, and tranny/diffs that it's using! Hell, I want to know what kind of brakes an 800hp subie runs!

Wow, that car is very impressive, and I love the fact that it looks fairly stockish, no crazy stickers or wings... 800hp and as sleeperish as an STi can look... lol

Here's his mod list!

Mod list:

Engine and Power stuff:

-Locally built 2.6L (very knowledgeable builder that has been doing Subaru aircraft and sand rail engines for years)

-Darton Sleeves

-102.5mm CP pistons "8.5:1" (I would have like a little higher CR but was to impatient)

-Cobb Rods

-cosworth rod and main bearings

-factory crank (very excited to see how far the factory crank can be revved with a good oil supply???)

-gutted factory oil pump (using a external Peterson WET/VAC oil pump for oil supply)

-engine deck has been stainless steel O ringed to work with a SCE copper head gasket. (Lots of boost!!!)

-DPR stage 5 cams

-Heads have seen a lot of time on the flow bench (313 CFM @ .45 lift)

-2.5 mm over sized Ferrara intake valves (Sorry to say the AVCS had to go, the valves would have touched each other.

-1.5mm over sized exhaust valves

-spark plug seats have been machined down so a standard 3/4" reach NGK plug can be used (allot more heat range options)

-Ported TGV

-Cosworth 14mm head studs

-14mm studs that hold the block halves together

-Custom built 4" turbo back exhaust

-custom built dual scroll up-pipe

-Garrett GT4294R

-Twin Tial 44mm wastegate

-Tial BOV

-modified twin scroll APS exhaust manifold

-Custom built large plenum intake manifold w/velocity stacks and long tapered runners.

-Infinity Q45 90mm throttle body

-Three intake walbro 255's (each 255 has a -6AN line that is fed to a fuel block and them a -10AN fuel line is ran to the engine bay were it feeds two -10AN fuel rails

-1600cc top feed low impedance fuel injectors

--10AN Aeromotive FPR

-Hydra EMS (Phil is the best!!!)

Tranny power delivery:

-ATS triple carbon clutch

-As for the rest of the tranny and the power delivery items, I am going to leave them stock because I am curious as to see at what power level these items start breaking.

Suspension Chassis, braking:

-Tein Flex Coil over’s

-Cusco rear sway bar

-Cusco front strut tower brace

-Carbon Cusco rear strut tower brace

-Custom cromolly cage to be installed in the short future

-factory STi braking system.

Interior:

- As little as possible

- Sparco Evo L seats

- Defi gauge's

- Radio??? “Radio who needs a stinkin radio”

Exterior:

-Street--- Volk CE28N’s w/ 255/35-18

-Track--- PRODRIVE GC06H 17X8 w/ 275/40-17 mickey thompson ET streets.

I'm not overly impressed with horsepower for the sake of horsepower. Cool but what good is it? To me it's almost like giant trucks with 2 wheel drive.

800hp is nothing to sneeze at considering the ESX car is what, 1000? But if it's a street driven car with 800hp, what's the point? Now if they're building it to test parts or run on the track then sweet, looking forward to seeing what it can do.

The point is to simply know that he has that kind of horsepower and torque at his command. Does it mean he'll use it? Not necessarily, but it's nice to have around, I'm sure. When a little M5 or AMG SL 65 blows past him acting like they're on the autobahn, he can simply reach out and reel them in like a little fish in a pond. Not much on the road can touch that level of performance, short of the $150k+ vehicles.

I think the first time he smacks down one of the exotics, when they get passed by a Subaru, and there's nothing they can do - the look on their face will be priceless.

So the purpose is for street racing?

Or are you talking about an ego boost??? Because that's pretty much my point.

don't forget about a liter bike... I'm sure that thing Is quick but a liter bike or a zx-14 etc would kill that thing, on the track of course as I would love to shoot anyone that tries something like that on the street.
