The other sways are installed. Man what a HUGE difference those made on the ride. The car is much flatter going through the twisties now. Heck even doing a simple U-Turn you can tell the difference.
For the coilovers I'm just waiting for my camber plates to be ready. I'm in on the group buy for the Bakemono Camber / Caster plates. I can't wait to get them and finally get the rest of the suspension setup.
Actually, since I'm gonna be doing suspension I'm probably going to end up getting new CV Axles at the same time (since my cv boots have been leaking since like the beginning of the year). Throw all of it in and get the new alignment and everything done at the same time.
Haha, dang. nice. I'm Jelly. I want a rear sway real badly, but im getting new wheels first haha. how much do the bakemono plates go for?? i havnt heard of those
Basically, they look to have taken the Cusco plates as the starting point. Made them slightly thicker (to prevent the bending issue it seems like the Cusco plates sometimes have), then used the modified versions (where people elongated the adjustment slider section to give more camber adjustments) and as an added bonus made caster adjustment holes (0, 15, 30 & 45 degrees).
Take a look at the pictures here on page 3 to give you an idea of how much caster adjustment these plates can achieve.
I honestly hadn't heard of these until recently and after comparing them to all the other plates out there I pretty much determined that these would be incredibly hard to beat (especially for the price). I always liked the RCE plates, but when I talked to Myles he said they were no longer going to be making them. I also saw what looks to be identical plates from FLI, but at $500/set that's pretty steep.
Oh and these Bakemono plates look to have identical bearings to the RCE (and now GTWorx) plates. If it is not the same bearings being used it is at least the same spec of the bearings used.
The other added bonus is that the Bakemono plates look to also have rear plates as well. I already have the Group-N rear top hats so I should be good there, but if I do need to get added read camber, then I have the option of upgrading and having the same type of plates all the way around.
Hmmm....that's a good question. I looked on the Whiteline website and it lists a different front bar for the RS version vs the WRX/STI version front bar. I'll see if I can get an answer for you about this. If you find any information if it will or won't fit go ahead and post up for future reference.
that bakemono group buy is sooo tempting. and i really need camber/alignment work with my setup hahaha. xD i'm selling my rims today so i might be able to! either that or i might take this sway bar off your hands :P
