Hypermeet 2009 Thunderhill Trackday
Hi all.
There is a feeler for a Hypermeet (Subaru/Evo) Trackday for January 4th, which is a Sunday. It is really a great group of guys. Check out the link. If you are interested, post your name on this list.
edit: I've heard $175 for the track day. That's actually really reasonable. The organizers are also looking for instructors for the event as well as sponsorship. I am not sure what they are looking for, but if you would like to sponsor the event, drop me a PM and I'll have the organizer contact you.
http://www.norcalevo.net/forum/index...8.new.html#new
Addition: Let me clarify something. If you are remotely interested, you need to sit down and think about this. Not to pressure you guys or anything, but let's face the facts. I-Club is the second biggest interest group right now. NorCalEvo being the first. If between NorCalEvo and I-Club, we can not get the bulk of prepayments (the better part of 30), the event is history. That is... it is canceled. There won't be an event. There won't be a $180 trackday/lunch. There won't be any spirited driving. There will be nothing. Do not rely on your peers to step up and cover the 30 spots. Do not expect NorCalEvo members to cover the bulk of the spots for you. It just ain't going to happen.
This is where I'll be brutally honest. People flake! Last year, when the NCE guys posted a thread on the Subaru forums, there 20-25 people who said they may or may not be interested. Only 5 Subaru people showed up. We have 15 or 16 people interested. Let's be realistic, at least half of you guys will have something else come up, won't go, lose interest, won't have money to pay, etc. You guys do the math...
So... if you are serious about the event, you need to step up and let us know. Do a favor to yourself and your fellow event mates and make a reasonable attempt to help get the ball rolling.
If you put the money down, and the event doesn't go, you get your money back.
If you put the money down, and the track deposit is put down, but you can't go, you can transfer your spot to someone else.

The last track day that was announced was $100 because Subaru of American and a few other sponsors sponsored the event. Mann Engineering and a few other people spearheaded the event to make it a very special and somewhat rare $100 offer only available to Subaru's participating in the event.

$160 is a good price for a test and tune track day.

but for you kev, i'm down. i'll even help get ppl involved if you can get me a set price, and i'll try to get some vendors to sponsor the event.
