'02 WRB WRX Sedan - 40k Miles - BayArea

Up for sale is my 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX. I purchased this vehicle with 4,xxx miles on it back in August 2004 from Carlsen Subaru; It was a company car of theirs, so it was definitely well taken care of. For the approximate four years that I've owned the vehicle, I've only added ~36k miles to the odometer. I am currently in college so I never really drove that much. Most of my driving was on the freeway when I would head home to visit the family.

Here's some relevant information pertaining to the vehicle:

-2002 WRB (World Rally Blue) Impreza WRX- 4door Sedan
-4EAT Automatic Transmission
-Flat-4 2.0L turbocharged Boxer engine
-40,xxx miles
-Oil Changes every 3-4k miles with Castrol GTX Synthetic Blend
-New oil filter changed each time too.
-30k mile service check at 34k miles; Done at Carlsen Subaru.
-All maintenance records available
-Standard WRX amenities:
-Symmetrical AWD
-Power steering
-Power windows and locks
-Air Conditioning
-ABS
-Cruise Control
-Dual front air bags
-Fog lights wrapped with yellow Rock Blocker film
-6-disc CD changer
-16” alloy rims wrapped with RE-92 tires
(lots of thread wear left since I did change rims/tires)
-Wingless trunk with debadged “SUBARU” emblem
-NO one has ever smoked inside the vehicle!!!

The car has been lightly modified, but has been returned to stock. The only modifications done to the vehicle included- added strut bars, and new rims/tires. For one of the rear strut bars I had to cut out a portion of the carpet, but since removal, I have sewn up the missing carpet.

Known Issues:

Body Blemishes:
-There are a few light scratches which are removable with the use of Clay Bar.
-Roughly 1.5” diameter paint chip on the hood scoop. Covered up with touch up paint.
-Dent/scratch on the front passenger door due to a shopping cart. I tried to buff it out
and put some touch up paint over it.
-Other small nicks and dents that's unavoidable with a four-year old car.
-I used this vehicle to transport my snowboards to Tahoe, so there are some marks where the
roof rack cushion met the body. Clay Bar will take it off.
Interior:
-Seats are all clean, no gashes or stains.
-Rear deck, where the rear speakers are located, has an orange juice stain which I am
currently trying to clean.
Engine and Drivetrain:
-There are NO problems with either one. The car runs, and feels strong at any power band.
Transmission and differentials are strong as well; all fluids pertaining to each was
changed out during the 30k mile service check.

As you can see, most of the issues with the WRX are body blemishes which can be removed by a professional detailer, or a few hours of work.

AVAILABLE SERVICE AGREEMENT:

I purchased the WRX with a Subaru Added Security Gold Plus service agreement. It started on the date of purchase, 08/19/04 and expires on 12/02/09. There's still about sixteen months left on the agreement, or up to 100k miles, which ever comes first. The agreement was purchased for $2150. The agreement says that if it is not used at all, there will be a FULL refund of the purchase amount.

If you would like to take over the service agreement, since it's still worth it, you will have to pay for it over the price of the car. If you choose to do so, the agreement will be transferred over to the buyer's name.

I ask that the buyer pays for the service agreement in full, over the asking price of the car since a full refund will be in effect, considering the new owner does not use it before the allotted time period.

If you do not want the service agreement, that is also fine.

I hate having to get rid of my WRX, it was a surefire blast to drive and own, but my college fund is running low, so selling my car would definitely help me out.

Asking price: $12,500 OBO without Service Agreement

Please PM me if you have any further questions.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys!

It'll be hard letting go of my first baby. I'll end up downgrading, in a way, to a 2.5RS, but in the long run, the RS is the very first car I've wanted; and I'll be helping myself get through school. Which means future STi swap later on

Tell your friends about my car if they're in the market
