Last spring around this time i went to Portland and I-5 sucked they had it shut down to one lane due to construction. We left about 2:30 am and showed up in portland in the afternoon/evening around 5pm. Going most of southern Oregon 25mph cus of the construction sucked butt. On the way back we drove at night and was smooth sailing and made it back in good time about 9 hours. I swore next time going to oregon was gonna be at night.

Roadtrip! Nice.. If I had the time and better tires I would slap a suby emblem on my VW and join you. It's been far too long.. Darn work. Have a blast and here's to a safe trip.
