Heya, everybody. I bought a 2002 WRX sedan back in May of '01. Since then, I've performed some minor performance modifications to the vehicle.
I've replaced the intake with an Injen cold air intake.
I've replaced the up-pipe with a cat-less variety. (I don't recall the brand)
I've had the cat in the down-pipe removed.
I've had the exhaust from the down-pipe back replaced with 3" pipe, including a 3" main converter.
I currently live in Blacksburg, Virginia where an emissions test is not required. I am planning to move to Fort Collins, Colorado this summer where I am told they do have a yearly emissions test. I was hoping someone from the area could tell me if my modifications will pose a problem to passing the emissions test there. Any help or suggestions you folks could provide would be much appreciated.
You should be able to pass the Colorado Springs sniff test with one three way cat, but in the denver area they make you go on a rolling dyno.
Not sure about Ft Collins.
Try www.nasioc.com RMIC region if you don't get an good answer here. Worst case scenario, replace the factory downpipe and midpipe or the uppipe and downpipe before testing, and then mod it again.
