Second Fob Keypress Pops Trunk

Hello Everyone, I am just gauging interest right now, I have nothing for sale at the moment.

I know that some people have posted a question, and I know some people have tried, to get all the car doors on thier car (WRX) to open when they hiy the Keyfob button once, and then have the second press pop the trunk, or do something else. Well, after some trial and error, and thought, I have designed/created a circuit that will do just that. Basically, the first press unlocks all doors, and the second press, which as you probably already know must happen at a certain time, meaning that there is a rhythm that must be followed with the keyfob to get the second press right, will produce a signal that can be used to pop a trunk, activate a remote starter, heck, squirt your intercooler sprayer, I don't know, almost anything you can come up with.

I am curious if anyone would be interested in such a thing.

Please let me know,
Michael

As far as the wagon, I don't see why not. However, I need to know, does the wagon have the ability to "pop" the hatch as it is. If so, is it a button, or more of a "pull". Either way, it should be no problem for this to do it.

Thanx
Michael

If I have anytime to pull my hatch apart this weekend I'll let you know for sure. I believe it would be a pull style, but will check.

This is a pretty cool idea. I would definately be interested b/c I've wanted to shave my trunk lock and this would be the perfect replacement.

O.K. Guys,

Just some clarification.

The unit I have designed does not ACTUALLY pop the trunk. To do the ACTUAL popping, you need a solenoid. They are available at many Alarm shops. They run about $30.00.

The unit that I am developing makes sure the proper signals get to where they need to go, when they need to get there. With the unit I am designing, you can send the proper signal to the solenoid, which pops the trunk.

I hope that clears it up, at least a little bit.

Thanx
Michael
