For Sale: USTCC Subaru WRX Racecar
Purchased from Gary Sheehan in 2004, GOTO:Racing competed in the US Touring Car Championship in 2005 with this car, racking up 2 wins, 2 seconds, one third, 1 fourth at the San Jose Grand Prix, and second in the overall drivers championship. This car has won second overall in all 4 years that it has competed. It is a great USTCC platform.
This car is ready to go USTCC racing in 2006. It will be sold turn key with everything you need get started next season. You can find a list of modifications to the car online at www.gotoracing.com. Highlights are, Freshly serviced DMS 50mm suspension (the WRX's secret weapon), both front and rear Stoptech BBK, ACT clutch & pressure plate, STi front control arms, and a Gruppe-S tuned Ecutech ECU.
USTCC got to race with Champ car this year, and next year most likely.
The car also comes with this spares package:
Spare 2.0 liter engine with 3 races on bottom end
Complete spare tranny with 3.90 final drive (not assembled)
6 sets of wheels! (4 sets ROTA Slipstream 17"x8", 2 sets of Rota Subzero
17"x7.5")
3 sets of used Hankook Vetnus USTCC Spec race tires
Front swaybar - stock (19mm)
Front swaybar - Whiteline (22mm)
Front swaybar - Hotchkis (26mm x 3.5mm tubular)
Rear swaybar - Stock (20mm)
Rear swaybar - Whiteline (22mm adjustable)
Rear swaybar - Hotchkis (26mm x 6mm tubualr adjustable)
4 additional front uprights/hubs
2 additional rear uprights/ 1 w/o hub
Stoptech slotted rotors & aluminum hats (used)
Pair of front lower control arms
Front differential - stock
Front differential - Kaaz adjustable clutch type
Front differential - Quaife mechanical
Center differential - stock viscous
Rear differential - stock viscous
Rear differential - Kaaz adjustable clutch type
Rear differential - Quaife mechanical
Hotchkis adjustable rear lateral links
Car is in great mechanical shape and the chassis is straight. Body has a few dents and dings but nothing serious. If you want a flashy car that attracts sponsors and is a blast to drive, this is it.
Price for all is $25k.

Lovely car, though I have a question about the description...if the car was purchased in 2004, how could it have "won second overall in all 4 years that it has competed"?

No, Sheehan was asking for $22k with only 2 sets of Rotas and 2 sets of Enkei's. Not sure how much GOTO paid for the car, but Lock is selling his with 6 sets of Rotas.

Actually this car has made quite a transformation this year...LICmotorsports went through the whole car...it now has new engine, new transmission, stoptech rears, besides countless hours of rewiring and basically made the car turn key and super reliable. It's pretty much the same chassis with a newer drivetrain..oh yeah and alot more Rota's (thanks Subydude).
