Northern VA STi/Subbie ride...
Someone should get all the VA & MD STi owners together for a weekend ride & drive to help kill off some STi 'break-in' miles while providing those less fortunate an opportunity to ride along and drool.
The ride might include a range of driving situations to show off the cars flexibility in a range of areas. The loop might start in Rockville, MD (i.e. Fitzgerald Subaru) off Rt.355 and drive a semi-circular planned route going south west down 495S VA to RT.66, then north along 66 to RT.15 Leesburg, follow RT.15 through the country into and out of Leesburg to Frederick, MD then head east along I270 East to Old Georgetown Road ending back up at Fitzgerald Subaru. (Route negotiable, but this is right past my house :)
Additionally an STi 'Tech Session' might be held for Subie owners overall detailing information on the STi as well as the current WRX & Legacy.
The ride would be open to any and all Subaru owners whether they bring an STi, and SVX or a BRAT. The event would only be a ride & drive caravan style event and no road racing or rodding would should be involved.
What do you guys think?
Are there any takers.... ? Janq, skieman, and myself are in.
Janq said he would help organize if a substantial number of people get on board... I can also ping Manassas Subaru for interest if needed...

If you don't have an STi or any other Subaru product, just wear a white t-shirt and write "S U B A R U" across the front and you'll be welcomed well. ; )

When is this going to happen? If it's this saturday, I can go depending on the time. I have work until about 3, but I work 2 minutes from the fitzgerald on the pike, which I assume is the one you're talking about? I hope its soon, so the freshly applied zaino doesn't wear off. The silver on my STi is just such a nice color. Not too flashly like the blue, but not too understated like a white. It's an in-between color. I should post a pic of my garage. All 3 cars are some shade of silver, if you count the titanium on my moms cayenne as a shade of silver.

Advan - The idea is just that, an idea.
No firm dates or anything has been set. Its just a concept toward a _future_ get together.
Before I put any work into this, and it would be work, I want to be sure that there is a reason to do so...specifically MD & VA homies who'll show 'n go.
I'll add your name to the list of three + one (Cap'n Trash).
SUB-ZERO - Cool name.
Bring the heat and keep an eye on this thread for more info...

Good idea...go ahead and cross-post it if you can to where you deem best.
Advise folks to drop me a one liner e-mail letting me know their interested and I'll tally names & contact info to do a mass mailing/post to those same folks to let them know its a go or no go. I'll share the results with you, Meridock and WRX What as you guys are in on the ground floor.
Frankly the more I think about it the more I'd like to see it happen so after the holiday I'll start putting plans into action toward organizing somethingfor the late summer/early fall.
My e-mail is; IAmMeToo@Hotmail.com
Thanks!

I'm up for it, depending on the date.
Heck, I need to go up to Fitzgerald this weekend to pick up my license plate!

I crashed an Evo meet, so why not crash an STi event?
I still need to ride in an Evo, anyway.
