AEM Brake Kit??....

Has anyone seen or used the O.E. Caliper One-Piece Big Rotor Brake Kit?
I was looking at the AEM website and came across these. They go for a little over $500. They look pretty good, just wonder how they work. Any info?

Does the phrase "all show no go" mean anything to you Freddie?

The rotors are larger in dia, but also thinner in thickness. What that means more than likely is that it will not handle track abuse I bet. It's a better street disc then a track disc, IMO.

For the price you pay for those rotors, your better off getting the subaru 4 pots. They dont really help you stop better, but they do offer a few more pad choices, a better pedal feel, and perhaps more mass in the caliper to absorb more heat. Well at least more heat absorbtion then the AEM calipers...

Or you could get the Wilwood 4 pots and perhaps some new DBA or EBC rotors and that would give you both the benefits of a 4 pot and a new cooler looking rotor.

Good luck on your choice!

Well, I looked at those for a bit.... They looked good, especially since its a nice black carbon outside. It definately has that cars show look to them (As the youngsters call it, bling bling).

The first time I saw them was in a magazine article in Super Street. It had a JUN modified yellow wrx on the cover. More than half of the magazine was dedicated to the wrx including part upgrades.

AEM was suggested as a recommended replacement for the stock rotors in the magazine.

I went to go purchase the iON performance brake kit with a 2 piece rotor instead.

I'm pretty clueless to cars , but after reading up some from you guys on i-club, stopping off at barnes and nobles to read car magazines, and asking around people who knew cars, those AEM rotors were not the one to get....
