For those in theNorth Bay:Warning Warning

Just to give a heads up...I've come aware of TWO STis getting pulled over getting issued SMOG tickets in the last 24 hours .

Both cars got pulled over in the Santa Rosa area..one on Santa Rosa Ave...the other on a freeway on ramp.

One was pulled over for no front plate the other for tinted windows then asked to pop their hoods...neither car had loud exhuast or outrageous body kit mods.

Were they also issued fix it's for the front plate/tint or are the cops only fishing for big money?

if you're stock engine wise and not breaking emissions laws you should have no problems fighting it IMO

These were just people i know that own STis that i talk to all the time.

One guy got nailed for his HKS BOV..but he also has a TBE he will have to remove...the other guy got citied for a Intake, but he also has a TBE and a turbo upgrade.

You really can't fight these tickets..as they are a express ticket to see the STATE smog ref...he then looks @ the car tells you what can go and what can stay.

The funny thing is that neither of them got a ticket for tint or plates...BUT these are reasons they were pulled over...Just like that police traning video.

After being pulled over, they had to wait for a second cop to arrive to "inspect" the car.

I remember my friend got pulled over for Intake/Exhaust, it was either see the Ref or pay a $450 fine. (Marin County)
