ive heard different opinions. i was told you can bolt on the sti core using the sti y-pipe, but i was also told that you would need to use a wrx y-pipe to fit the sti core. i also heard the brackets wont match so you would have to customize the brackets to work.

not sure if this info is correct...

I know for a fact that the WRX elbows and piping will not work, and the brackets bolt right up.

You need the STi piping, so if you dont have it, it is a problem.

JDM STi TMIC is better and bolts right on. As long as you have the aluminum Y-pipe and silicone couplings that are supposed to come with it. It's also bigger than the USDM STi intercooler.

wrx y-pipe will be to short unless you do the scoobymods y-pipe mod.

you've got a couple options. You can get a longer elbow and TB hose then everything will be fitting like stock.

Other option would be to mount only the driver side which will allow you get that red sti elbow onto the turbo. The passenger IC tab will be an inch or two in front of the mount, but the IC barely moves. I just used a zip tie and that works. This option will cause the left side of the IC to be tilted just slightly more towards the front of the car. It's fully functional, but if you're really **** about it being as perfect as can be then the first option would probably be better.

yea this is what i did, the y pipe is still not on completely (but on) i took it out for a ride and it gave out at full throttle ;/. could this be because i might just need to tune because of the IC change, or that the y isnt completly on and maybe pipe is flexing?
