Yeah... I'm half tempted (when the time comes) to flatbed the car down to paul and let him plug it all in lol.

It was sketchy as hell.

We got stopped in Colfax for an hour in a half, freeway was shut down for EVERYONE. Once they opened it, within 10 mins it started to snow pretty hard again and shut down the freeway. But we were already on so its kinda "go at your own risk".

I was the ONLY car on the road. Everything else were SUVs and huge trucks haha, but i was passing them lol. The SUV in front of me was only like 2 car lengths ahead of me and could barley see them.

A good 3-4 inches of snow on the ground with the wind blowing snow across the freeway. Highway 80 became one lane haha. It norm takes 1hr 30-45mins from our place to our cabin in Truckee....that day it took us 4.5hrs

HOLD UP! That means no q clips?! Sign me up! My knowledge of racks does not include automotive ones so bare with me.

How does this whole thing work? It rests in the ridges on the roof?

ULTIMATE Impreza Roof Rack Solution!!! Pics and Installation Write-Up - NASIOC

That thread details the whole thing. Basically makes it so you can mount your rack the same way the '08+ models mount their racks.

Just went to a local machine shop down here

You would have to buy the rack for the 08+ subarus too

The ONLY thing i dont like about this compared to my q-clip set up, is that this sits up a bit higher... other than that, AWESOME
