I was wondering about the amp location, dont you think being on the sub box its prone to shock/vibration, hence creating a problem? just curious

i was thinking about it too.. but imo .. wherever you place your amp inside the trunk, is gonna cause the same vibration..(i'm still unsure..)

thanks for the info... how much do custom enclosures like that run?? my guess is upward of 300 right? Regardless, money well spent!
Yeah about the amp... being on the same box as the woofer, id imagine it would take more rattle/vibration rather than just vibration through sound waves... but I see your point, perhaps the difference is miniscule...
Rock on!

speaking of vibration! need some help and advice here..
since i dont have much time to do it by myself, i went to another store to let them install some dynamats.. they did the upper part and sides.. but still, it wasnt even 80 percent less from the original rattling of my trunk! do i need to put more or cover everything including the floor??

As far as the dynamatting goes, I hear people do the floor as well... But im no audio pro so I couldnt advise you in any specific direction... Itd be helpful if u post back when you find out though... I'm sure the audio shop could point you in the right direction no?
Also, try posting in the Stereo section of this forum.. you may get some good suggestions that may not be as costly as what the audio shop recommends...
goodluck!
