Samsung is trash.

All Samsung phones are going to have a 'edged' screen moving forward. The Pixel is rumored to have a premium price tag at release so depending on when you buy you may look at a different price.

I was reading that the water resistance rating for the pixel is going to be ip53 which isn't very good compared to Samsung ip68 and iphone ip67.

I remember when phones were like 600.. and you got em for 200 with your "upgrade"/contract renewal. Now they dont offer discounts for renewing and they cost like $800 wtf.

Went to the store Monday with my Gpa and he got his first smart phone, Note 7, as he wanted a big screen like mine.

I will not buy a phone based on its water resistance... thats just dumb.

I have always, and will always, be CAREFUL with my $XXX purchase and leave it away from water.

Just more gimmicky crap to make ppl "need" it.

I'm not basing my decision just solely on that. Its just an added bonus to have just in case.

Iphone 7 just recently became water resistant with that rating so I'm just curious as to why Pixel wouldn't choose to have a higher rating.

LOL. I don't think you can just 'choose' to have a water resistance/proofing rating. Otherwise Samsung and Apple would be nuclear proof.

Wait you let your grandpa get an IED? There are still a bunch of reports on even the "fixed" phones exploding...

We'll have to see if it was a legit replacement, and if so, how many more have the problem haha
