Your average driver is easily distracted by one thing that catches their attention.

Now take that and multiply it by several millions of things falling from the sky.

"Oh, something shiny."

"Oh, something shiny. Oh, something shiny. Oh, something shiny. Oh, something shiny."

Sounds like Sunday...

Merge on to the freeway. Holy ****, people are going slow... Merge over to a faster lane. Left lane is completely open. Time for speed, IDGAF!

Moments later.

Holy **** there's a lot of water... I'm hydroplaning more than I'd like. I should slow down.

Notice some blues and twos way up the road. lol Someone ****ed up. Get a little closer. Hmm... They've closed the left two lanes. Merge over into the peasant traffic.

Crawling in the traffic, there are still cars flying up the fast lanes. DO YOU NOT SEE THE LIGHTS?!?! Even people in the traffic with me are merging left only to immediately merge back. WTF PEOPLE?!

Get to the lights. Looks like a Corolla. Smashed front, shattered rear windshield, getting pulled on to a flatbed. Damn, did they roll? I ain't even mad. That's amazing. No other cars in the scene.

Traffic opens up after the incident. Time for speed, IDGAF!

moments later.

Holy **** there's a lot of water... I'm hydroplaning more than I'd like. I should slow down.

Notice some blues and twos way up the road... Nah, I'm kidding.

Started off the day a little... off..
As I put my backpack in the car this morning my coffee thermos fell out of the side pocket and hit the ground and started pouring out. Fortunately only the lid popped open but didn't break and only a little bit of coffee was lost.
Arrive at the office and was careful to remove my bag as not to drop the coffee again and in focusing on the bag I clip my lunch in a plastic container on my door causing me to drop it on the parking lot where is opened and dumped the contents all over the ground.
A few hours later as I was working on cleaning up the clutter of devices off my desk from the past month or so of office closures or computer replacements I go to pick up something from under my desk and poke my eye on the corner of a Fedex box I had open and ready to send. Thankfully no damage and sight is intact.

At least I was able to get my daughter to daycare in one piece.

So with that, time to go out to lunch.

I had a similar thing this morning.

Get in my car... Why does it smell funky in here? Ugh, no time to deal with it right now. Gotta get to work.

Get to work. Grab one of the boxes that was on the back seat. Get in the building. Why is this box soggy? OH ****! I had my water bottle in the back seat! Did I not tighten the cap yesterday? Go back. Sure enough. The bottle is almost empty and my seat is completely soaked.

Luckily it doesn't seem like anything was damaged.
