Went snowboarding on New Years day and there wasn't a lot of people on the hill. I'm guessing people were getting over their hangovers but it was good snow and will probably going again this weekend and possibly Monday as well.

I would say depends on the condition. You might have some butt puckering moments I have all terrain tires, so I'm not as worried.

We had the Outback in snow yesterday with the stock Dueler H/P Sport AS tires, and while they weren't great they certainly didn't feel dangerous.

I want some sweet mud tires. But the selection for a 17" wheel with an OD smaller than 27.5" is ****.
