Needing to borrow an accessport

My buddy just picked up an 06 sti that was tuned with a Cobb v2 accessport and the accessport was stolen out of the car. He now put the car to stock and is trying to put a stock map on the car but the ecu is locked from the ap. Is anybody willing to unmarry their ap to let him marry it to his car to unlock his ecu and unmarry it again. Should only take a few minutes. He'll pay as well if necessary, just wants the car stock. It, of course, would not be a permanent thing, rather just a quick way to unlock his ECU. If anyone is willing, please let me know and we can set up a time, maybe even get it done at a thursday meet! Thanks

To my knowledge this is not possible. The ECU isn't locked from the map, the accessport and ECU are linked to each other and neither will work on another system until they are unmarried from each other. So even if someone were to unmarry an accessport it still would not mount/connect to the ECU. If you have the receipt for the accessport and explain to Cobb it was stolen they will unlock it for you. Or you can find a new ECU. This was my experience with a similar situation 3ish years ago and maybe things have changed, but I doubt it. Best of luck

It's definitely possible and I've personally done it on a few newer subaru's.

OK, maybe my experience with a bugeye and a V2 was different than newer models
