We left Heavenly at 5:00. By 6:15, we were still 2 miles from the 89S interchange. So.. 75 minutes to go about 7-8 miles, and the map showed it was ****ed pretty much all the way back into Placerville. Too tired so we said "**** it." lol

We were gonna take 50 to 89 and go up to Homewood that way, but right about Kyburz we thought it might be a good idea to check and make sure 89N was open through Emerald Bay.. NOPE! lol Pressed on and the line of cars to get into Sierra was backed up onto 50. Welp, Heavenly it is! lol

Relevant to my interests:

we are heading up to Aston Lakeland Village next Mon and stay Monday-Thursday. like I said before, complete snow n00b, so looking for advice. taking my thubawu and some cables and all that junk. I want to go snowboard like one of the days we're there, heavenly 1 day lift pass is like......$100?! crazy spensive imo, is that normal? Are there any decent places nearby that won't be so pricey? I'm a n00b, so I don't need super fancy slopes, just wanna have fun for a few hours and fall over and stuff lol
Next we want to take the little guy sledding. Any slopes/places to go for that, which will be cool? Or does heavenly have something like that for kids/sleds too?

Sorry for all the n00b questions, but if you're bored please de-snow-noob me

that goes for everyone here

Going Mon-Thurs you wont have an issue. Rob hit PEAK weekend traffic where everyone from Sac/Bay is leaving Tahoe at the same time to head back down the hill.

lol $100 is prolly about average. Its crazy how expensive its gotten in the last 10 years.

I'm really impressed a wild cop didn't appear mid-video and make them have a really bad day

Heavenly isn't the best place for snowboarders as that mountain (in my opinion) isn't very snowboarder friendly. I like Sierra as it's a easy mountain to ride on.
