I'm done taking the car there for anything in the future. I talked to a different service adviser who was there this morning and he quoted $210. I asked what their shop rate was, he said it was $140/hr and then I said so your basically charging 1.5hrs to change 6 spark plugs. He didn't respond right away and then tried to tell me when he talked with the tech, they said it takes a significant amount of time more to change out. I basically said forget it and I will end up doing it myself but figured I could save some time since they would already in there.

I'm done trying to reason with them and I may be a d!ck when it comes time to do my CSI review for them

Should have just asked to talk to the Service Manager.

I mean how does that make ANY sense. They are already going to be in there, it wouldnt be all that much more to change the plugs. Should have said you used to be a dealer tech and thats not how a reasonable dealer works

I was thinking about it but the Service Manager wasn't there this morning. Oh I told him that I used to be a dealer tech and what we used to do. I even dropped the line from Law saying I knew the master tech at Nissan in Elk Grove and he was the one who said they should be able to accommodate the spark plug request and that it should only be 30-45mins max to change them while doing the valve cover gaskets. But he wasn't having it and I didn't want to waste anymore time as I had to get to work.
