If you guys promise not to poke fun and laugh AT me, Id like to join in and learn so Im not just another "photographer" with another digital camera.
Heres the test to see if I will be laughed out of here or not... my camera is the Canon T1i
Old Guy and I have shot together (the light painting of our cars back in Sep) so Id like to get to the semi pro level but to be honest I dont have the faintest idea where to start.
Ive been told I have a good eye for shots... but when it comes to the technical jargon and all the settings... Im a noob as a noob can get.

Thats what I mean though... I dont want to go buy a lens just cause I think its a good deal only to find out its a **** lens.
I dont have a lot of money to spend on glass since I am in the middle of doing an STi swap into my outback but I want at least a decent lens to do photoshoots of car shows and outdoors.
Im thinking macro or fisheye? Ive tried reading up on them, but to be honest my brain starts to hurt after a while since there are SOOOOOO many different lens out there!

Dang Jodice, where did you learn to pan the Camera incredibly well? :O
I can pan the camera too, but the image always comes out a bit blurry.
Really digging the BMW and the vette

Idk I had some practice when I was at Laguna Seca. Honestly there's some luck when it comes to panning but I really like it.
Here's some of my other shots - Marina AutoX 4-3-12 - a set on Flickr
Sucks to have a 200 photo limit, it deletes my old pictures when I upload new ones

I agree with you, Panning is fun! Presents a mild challange which is always fun. Guess i need to be panning more and practice.
Shoots look great!, I honestly Lol'd when I saw that Toyota Yaris.
That does suck.
