Wow you shot those? That's awesome.

Well I don't shoot sports so I have no need for 8fps but it's good to have "just in case".

I like shooting in "rapid fire" even with still wildlife, it has led to some pretty hilarious/incredible unintended shots

Granted my latest work has been posed stuff, I rarely use continuous shutter. Opting for the 850 over the 900 goes along with the not caring too much about fps.

Also, I accidentally unsubscribed so I needed to post to resubscribe.

I do shoot animals and kids (my friend's kid, not random ones) but I think I'm more limited by my lens than by my FPS.

Wild animals, yes. Domesticated, not so much. Domesticated animals are easily manipulated with treats and their owner's presence.

I just joined this photography club in Monterey and I'm literally the only one under 40

There are some pro photographers there and the rest of them are very, very good so I'm a bit overwhelmed by their amazing pictures but that's just motivation for me to get better!

One of the guys there is actually teaching the workshop that I wanted to go to in December. He also has some that go to Yosemite, Africa and China. (I don't have thousands of dollars to do those but that would be extremely fun if I did.)
