I was pissed that I had to buy brakes AGAIN.
Being cheap I bought a set of XP12s for the front. The rear XP8s still had quite a bit of compound on them.
I did one AutoX event with this (8/7) and the bias was terrible. It worked out for AutoX but it probably wouldn't fly on track. I ended up flat spotting the front tires a bit. That was interesting.
I'll put a video here if I ever get around to it.

And then came August 24th. The day that sucked.
The day where I was on my way to work, on the freeway, and the car in front of me came to a stop. So, naturally, I came to a stop. The five cars behind me didn't.
I felt three hits. They guy in front of me felt two. Insurance determined that I was not at fault which is good. But the car was a total loss.
Good thing I had most of my stock parts...
Got a couple of friends and 4.5 hours later, we got almost everything off the car!
We got pretty much everything except the suspension and the mirror. I miss that mirror. We also left the SPT battery tie down (it was corroded anyway), the APR Radiator shroud (It was more broken than it was when I got it), and the subwoofer/amp wiring.
The estimated cost of repairs was $7350.63.
The settlement...
$8,567.98
Got to bomb around in a classic until I found Teh Rice Wagon v2.0...
She's a thirsy ***** and she will only drink top shelf.
