Skizz 2006 STi

I should have started this when I first bought the car two years ago.

My Sti story begins about 2.5 years ago. No wait it actually begins back in the late 90s when i first saw an STi in an option magazine at a race shop i worked at. I didn't understand 90% of the words in the magazine but knew it was an STI. I wanted one and wished we had it over here. Fast forward to now some 14 or so years later. I'm getting tired and bored with driving My wife's pos rolla and my truck a gas guzzling 5.9L Dodge Ram everywhere. I want something that's fun to drive and has some power again. Then my friend buys a 06 GTO that's tuned to about 360 or so at the rear and lets me drive it all the time and then borrow it for the weekend. That was it, I had to get a new car. The hunt was on. I wont lie, i didn't look at a Subaru right away I looked at some V8's first then realized a powerful RWD wont cut it for our winter trips and an AWD will plus I can sell the wife on an AWD purchase a hell of a lot easier than a RWD car with power. I now was looking at Audi's, EVO's, Subaru's, Hell anything sporty and AWD was being looked at. I thought about reliability and maintenance costs and the search narrowed down to one, Subaru. At first it was just WRX's and i had my eye on a WRX WRB limited as it was more in my price range. I came across some STI's and thought back to years before. So I upped my price range and found more options. I found a couple of STI's both 06 both similar miles and with some aftermarket upgrades, one more ice, one more performance than the other. After chatting up both owners and getting the full list of mods and history i chose IMO the right one. A 2006 CGM STi. It has 3 pervious owners, first were parents (bought for kid as college grad present so I was told) then put into childs name (so really one owner but on paper looks like two) then that guy sells to his friend because he is moving to japan. Now the guy i bought it from is selling because as he put it "its to much car for me, I want something more chill". I loved it and it was exactly what i wanted, and had the exact mods i wanted done. He had all of the service paperwork, full maintenance history, All upgrades were installed at a dealership, car had low miles and passed both leak down and compression tests with flying colors.

Picked this up last year, low mileage Tomei UEL header. Was going to send it to swain, I lagged and then decided to test the waters and see about trading for an EL Tomei.

Found someone with a Tomei EL Wants who wanted to go back to UEL. WIN WIN!! The wrap has been removed and the header/up has been packed up and is going to swain tech.

Im currently running a cobb stage 2 OTS map and felt a power difference after i put the turbo xs on. I ran the TSX unit for a year or so. That thing is HUGE and not having the car tuned for it made a diff. When i thew the stock back on and flashed the ecu i felt a difference right away. With the new turbo, I will be running the TSX TMIC for sure.

Flashed the Ecu. The car feels better with this DP. Wife and friend say it sounds quieter now.
Was very smokey while the wrap heat cycled. Pulled up to a stop light and the guy next to me was pointing at the smoke coming from my hood saying looks like you have a problem. Didnt want to explain why so just said yeah ill have to take a look at it.

The header/up cant come back from swain Fast enough.

Bought an 11MM oil pump and now im wondering if i should have just gone with the stock 10mm.
