On another note...

The car has been acting funny for the past two weeks. It's misfiring on cylinder 1 and 3 when coming to a stop or idling and as usual i figured the worst. I called up EQ Tuning and got in on Ed's schedule for a leakdown and compression test because i figured that would tell us if the motor is toast. Results came back healthy and well, the car wasn't burning any oil or smoking excessively but has this idle issue which is really annoying in stop and go driving. The only way to remedy this issue and make it slightly better is to have the A/C on full blast while in stop and go driving. Ed had Cory(tech and tuner) adjust my map a bit to try and fix it but i'm still having the same issues. The car drives normal and doesn't misfire once the RPM's are above 1.5k RPM. I notice when i lift the gas pedal and let the car cruise in neutral to a stop i hear small pops as if it's backfiring or something of that nature under 2k RPM. Ed thinks the issue could be my injectors so hopefully we can solve this soon! I'm supposed to go up there next week and see if the issue clears up with different injectors or cleaning mine and seeing if they are clogged.

*crossing fingers*

I have a lot of updates coming for the build but just have been busy dealing with this and trying to track down what gremlin is causing this issue.

Just wanted to update this and say Ed and Cory at EQ are great guys. They've delt with my annoying idle issue questions for 2 or 3 weeks now and have gone out of their way to accommodate me and my hectic schedule in a timely manner. From my experience i really couldn't suggest a better place to have your car tuned at or worked on in the bay area. My problem seemed to be faulty injector(s). Car is now being worked back onto E85 and soon will be getting a "high boost" tune with some real boost levels after EQ does my clutch job. Excited!

Yup. I've come to know it's so hard to diagnose misfires from a Subaru turbo engine. A lot of people told me it's the coil packs, tune, injectors, and ect which sucked because I didn't know where to start and trying to replace everything is a bit expensive. I had a feeling it was my injectors or coilpacks though. One of my coilpacks has a broken clip on it so it doesn't really snap in it just glides in. One of the many different shops I've taken my car to broke the clip and never told me. Honestly it could of been anyone and things happen so i won't place blame on any shop specifically. The clips are so fragile so i'm sure many of us are riding around with broken ones as well. The fact that the idle issue was happening only when coming to a stop or idling made me think it's possible the coilpack with the clip that's broken was some how moving around more then it should causing idle issues but apparently that isn't the case since the injectors cleared the idle issue right up. I'm thankful Ed and Cory were able to get me back on E85 again and solve this random gremlin. Apparently I'm one of the first to have problems with ID 1000cc. They are great injectors and the ones most tuners recommend, hopefully mine was just a faulty set. I only had about 13k miles on them.

Some recents. Been debating about throwing the mud flaps back on or not.
Being forced to drive the car normally sucks! Oh well. Only a few more tanks of E85 to get all the 91 out and back to boosting.
