I'm thinking about doing a similar suspension setup but avoiding the fender roll.

You used '04 WRX coilovers with nothing else needed to get them to fit? I need the details!

What was the max size of wheels/tires you could run before needing to roll the fender?

I wouldn't know, I had to roll the fenders back in '04 for some 215/45/17's
Coilovers bolt up, yeah.

Ummm........new rims.......heh.

Sorry I missed the shift **** Q, it's some old AC thing I picked up at a VW shop like 7 years ago. Went right on, not sure if they're still available.

The hoopty is finally legal...this is wheel set 21....

17x8 Hyper Black Torques, with a cheater 235/40/17 Nexen A/S (it's as wide as the 245/40 Pirellis on the STi, pretty beefy). No rubbing yet but I haven't pushed it. These tires are close to half an inch wider than either the 070's or the 235/40 Ventus RS2's I had on the Boosts (which will stay as the summer wheels). The G-forces are up for sale with used-up 070's, I'd rather not ship but if anyone's set on them, let me know.

Yes, it's dirty, it's parked outside again, so I've pretty much given up. After a quarter-million miles, it can be dirty
Apologies for the crap pics, my dad is playing with my XTi, so I'll get better ones in a few weeks with the wagon cleaned up to boot.

damn man I have not talk to you in a wile. I never used your 2.5 block but I think I am going to build it up with my old wrx heads to do a full drag car. your legacy is lookin hot as hell. I wish I could have talked my GF into one, or even an impreza wagon.

Took some real pictures in the hoopty's current state; she's been pretty neglected since I started focusing on the STi, so I cleaned her up a bit. Finally got replacement Morette lenses, need to get them rockblocked before I put them in. Picked up another STi CBE and will mate it with some equal-length headers to put the exhaust system back where I want it.
