Thanks Jourdan and leaf,

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/batem...ust/1044915238

This is the exhaust I'm looking at getting. It's within my price range. Is it worth it?

Would like a bov just for show I think haha

But..
I've also found a ready made kit in Australia if you have the time to watch it. All opinions would mean a lot.
Cost is $8,500 aud.

Intakes Ive been reading about are not worth getting.

Thanks #truenoob

Never heard of Empire.

Pickup is available if you're from Perth and can be arranged via SMS. Freight is available to all other areas of Australia.
Doesn't look like it's leaving AU though.

First, determine if the car is to be a daily driver and who is going to be driving it? Then develop the suspension (end links, sway bars, polyurethane bushings to replace all stock rubber bushings, coilover springs, or if you have the budget better shock absorbers), stiffen the chassis using cusco bolt on braces. Again if you have the budget go to lighter rims, such as Enkei-RPF1's. when you finish the above the car will be much much easier and fun to drive.

After you have done the above then and only then start on the motor! I have over $25,000 invested in my Subaru. So I know what I speak! Take your time and spend wisely.

1) General maintenance.

2) Driver mod. Attend some driving schools, go autocross, attend a track day, go rallycross. Figure out how your car handles and what you don't like about it.

3) Research how to fix the things you don't like about your handling.

Hey Newbie listen to de-engineered and Norcal bro!

I know I chimed in on this before? But if spending money is something your comfortable with? The here are a few additional observations I didn't make in my first reply.

Go to a performance muffler shop and have them build you a straight through single 3" inside diameter catback muffler system. I use Magnaflow 18 " muffler with a 30"L x 3" inside diameter baffle. This system will rumble but is so quite when on the open road that even your wife won't object. Plus, my car sounds like a sleeper and turns 10.86 seconds in the quarter mile at 119mph on 91 octane calif. gas. This configuration costs in Calif. about $400 to $500.

If your still in the mood to spend even more money? As far as motor mods. Get a K & N filter, Cobb Access Port which will provide some great off the shelf upgraded motor mods and will increase your power to a fun level.

If you go beyond the above recommended modifications and live in California where your 2008 Subie must be smogged every year. Here me on this, you will not pass the smog test, period!

However, if you want to fool the smog people you can go to 6 star racing and have them modify your VF52 Turbo to a 20G level. Of course if you modify the Turbo it will be time to have the vehicle tuned by a competent professional. If you decide to modify your Turbo and convert to e85 by adding 1000cc injectors and a 450LPH fuel pump you will add probably about 130 more whp and the best part of these modifications is you get through the visual and smog inspection along with adding a ton more horsepower. Remember when I said there is a bottomless pit when building a Subaru? The reason I say that is when you upgrade your Turbo and you go to E85 you will also have to upgrade your pistons, rods and valve train and so it goes!

Use your head and spend wisely.
