TRAINING WHEELS
A 6 hour Monte Carlo style Road Rally and FREE Navigation School
February 23, 2008
Encino, CA
More info: http://www.itnrally.org
ALL LEGAL VEHICLES WELCOME. NO SPECIAL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED.
Everybody likes to drive the back roads. You know, those beautiful two-lanes sweeping through miles and miles of open country? What if somebody put together the best roads they could find into a kind of giant board game with your car for a game piece and the landscape for a board? This is not a race. However, opportunities for spirited driving will abound.
Paved roads only. 2 people per car (driver and navigator) are strongly suggested. Event runs rain or shine. There are 4 classes: Beginner, Novice, Regular, and Expert. We suggest you bring a clipboard, pen, paper, 3 different colored highlight markers, and a good digital clock that allows you to set the seconds. (A stopwatch is not the best choice.)
The entry fee for this event is only $10 per car. Entry is FREE if either driver or navigator is a first time entrant. All entries must bring vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and driver's license to Start. For more details on this rally, or rallying in general, browse our website at http://www.itnrally.org.
START LOCATION: Balboa Tennis Courts parking lot, 5651 Balboa Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 91316.
DIRECTIONS TO START: Take the 101 Freeway to just north(west) of the 405. Exit at Balboa Bl. and go North. Cross Burbank Bl. (a signal). Take the next driveway entrance on your LEFT.
Registration and School will be at the north end of the parking lot.
