Haha, all good! Didn't look like a huge turnout, people usually stay longer if there's more folks and talk to go round. I'm just glad to get another bike ride in, working on some "adding lightness" to my car's front end
Emailed the mechanic saying parts pending (still don't know what's missing), I want my car back in 2 weeks or I'm taking it to another shop. Might still be too nice for my own good, but I hate being a dick, however justified. Got a bunch of recommendations from everyone I've told, and just about any shop is better at this point. I just want wheels in time for BAM!

Usually most people don't say they're going and people still show up...
It's ok, turn out the last few weeks has died down probably because like you said there are summer activities, people on vacation etc.
