Dang, wish I could bring Royce, but I have a meeting in Campbell at 8:30. Don't think my potential clients would appreciate me chasing Royce around.

I always try to park in the little shade there is there because even when it isn't that hot, it's hot there on the blacktop with no shade.

WRX USA mentioned DeAnza College with the solar panel parking ( the area where they used to have the DeAnza autocross). Parking is $3 - the local students might already have a parking pass (parking patrol still monitors on Sundays). It's not free but does have shade. Downside is you'll have to buy your Philz down the street...

That would be a neat idea. Although, I was just thinking leave the cars where we normally park, and just move the group towards the homegoods sidewalk under the shade.

I live near a local coffee shop on Dana st in downtown mountain view there is 2 locations to park one across the street from the cafe behind the mechanic and smog shop (there is a lot of shade) or down the street in the cvs parking structure. Just throwing a suggestion, the coffee IMO is pretty good they roast in house plus there is a lot of resturants near by.

I feel there would be too much traffic in MVDT even though its a sunday.. As for the CVS, security hates people hanging in the parking garage.

Also, I feel the Philz location is just much better overall. Easy to get to. Nearest exits for MVDT are 85, 101 and 237. Even then, its a bit of a ways to get to the posted locations. However, I would be in favor of it just because its a few blocks away from me.

Same here I live less than a mile from there, I majority Sundays that parking lot across the street is somewhat empty until noon it gets somewhat packed, I'll post a feeler Ito see the verdict

Philz makes some damn good coffee. I would rather compromise shade so I can have good coffee and pastries. If shade is a huge deal I'd suggest bring an ez up although that would be a pain for others to park. Bring an umbrella or something...

Yeah, I'd rather keep the location at the expense of shade too.
