hmm not really sure, I would throw it up on the forum where some tech guys can help you out better, I wish I knew how lean but its difficult without monitoring the A/F, it could be several reasons, I do a little research and get back to you.

check this out.. P0171 CEL Thread - Everything you ever wanted to know? - NASIOC

When you took it into Ed did he by chance maybe adjust something? Seems like youll need a tune like we discussed but in order for that to happen the tuner must know everything thats on your car so I suggest figuring that out first. Good luck.
