So pretty much what most of us want is

-Car or Subaru related banners
-None that crawl and follow down the page
-No spank the monkey for money

My addition. . .
Keep them classy, no .50 cent pieces over a chicks nipples and then having it somehow relate to cars. . .

It's understandable that a site need money to operate, so no problem whatsoever here. Just (like everyone else said) no pop-ups please!

As long as there are no pop-ups or those ones that strobe different colors, I'm fine with advertising on the site. Preferably the ads would be car related...but like mentioned above, as long as there are no zap the monkey for $10,000 it should be okay.

Zap the money, hehe.

I am just looking into possibilities intot doing i-Club as a full time job. And, of course, I will have bills to pay, haha.

Just thinking...

banners are fine by me too. pyro's concern is valid -- those scrolling banners are the worst...as are the ones that expand to populate a portion of the screen.

i don't like the google ads

but if they need to be there, put them under the quick reply box and forum jump thing

actually it would be cool if the forum jump thing was above the quick reply box as well

Subie/auto/racing related ads: OK, even welcome, to help support the site. Other have already said that, I know, but just wanted to add some support.

Not a big fan of the link ads, neither, but I guess I'll get used to them.

Whatever happened to selling @i-club.com email addresses? Wouldn't that net the same as the Vibrant Media stuff?

LIC Motorsports Flash banner has some problems. You know, the one where the 01 RS gets the WRX engine swap....

Severely slows down the page. I've brought this up before.
Running a 867mhz Apple G4 with 1.25 gig of ram on a DSL connection and that banner, just freezes all my browsers. Safari, IE, Netscape, Firefox, you name it.

I have two computers and they both experience the same phenomenon.

as long as the banners are subaru-related..... and none of them are the ones that grow larger when you cursor goes over them...then they are fine
