Best way to clean trunk carpet?

Some Coke(The soda lol) just exploded in my trunk and now everything's all sticky and gross. Does anyone know the best approach to cleaning it? Is it washer safe? Thank in advance! D:

If it isnt stained... just sticky, I would have you take the mat out, spray it down with diluted simply green and then hose off with a spray nozzle from a garden hose. Should get everything out.

I dont think the trunk mat is washer safe at all. I used to be a raving Folex fan for just about everything but I recently found a cleaner that BLOWS AWAY FOLEX.

If it IS stained I would highly suggest you give Lifter-1 stain remover a try. This stuff has exceeded my expectation every time I have tried it. Carpet in the house, rear seat back carpet in the WRX, even the headliner in the legacy. Worked better than I ever knew a cleaner could work.

It happened JUST now and it was just Coke so at the moment it's just sticky. Gonna take it out but I don't have any Simply Green. Is there some kind of alternate?

Just water should do the trick really. You just need to flush the sugar out and let it dry.

^This. If you have a garden hose that has been outside all day I would try to use that "hot" water that comes out first.

Any type of mild cleaner or laundry soap should be OK to use also but be sure to test it in an inconspicuous place first.

Yup, take it out, hose it down. Try carpet cleaner in a small spot, you don't need heavy duty stuff.

I use 409 Carpet cleaner spray and a scrub brush. Vacuum dry and turns out great everything!
