It shines nicely, in the pictures it looks like primer but really it is much much nicer. I see a lot of wrapped cars but they are all matte black.

I definitely can and I wouldn't charge a boat load. I am actually wrapping my neighbors BMW next week and then doing some vinyl work for another guys truck. So when I am back in the bay area I can definitely do it for you!
I decided to go with white for the wheels. But for now I decided to paint my spare set for the track, I primered them white and they looked great. But I just went with a Highlighter Yellow for the hell of it and it turned out pretty good. But its too far out of my comfort zone for daily use haha.

Mine lasts for 10 years and thats for horizontal surfaces. I think Avery A9 vinyl is 10 years for Vertical and 6-8 Horizontal. But I don't think I will have this on for 10 years haha. Yeah you just wash it like a normal car. I actually just got a microfiber cloth and wiped off any dust that got on my car (I am out in Arizona for school, it's dusty as hell out here) and its good to go.

Here is a link to a good place to get A9 Avery Graphics Vinyl Films: Opaque, Cast, Calendered, Reflective, Translucent, Specialty... from Beacon Graphics, LLC
Personally I would suggest just paying more for the better vinyl such as Orcal or 3M I have only heard good things about these two brands. A while ago I talked to some lady who vinyl wraps commercial vehicles and she said she hates using Avery, but the material her company uses was the cheaper Avery stuff, not the A9.
