I need an engine...
Okay, here it goes.
I messed up, screwed up my timing, and bent a valve on my EJ251 ('00 Legacy GT N/A). Learning experience, yes. Cost effective, definitely not.
My baby is completely out of commission and stuck as a giant paperweight. Would love to do a 02-05 WRX swap if possible. Either way, at this point I'm willing to settle for whatever is cost effective and functional. I truly cannot afford the near $5,000 price tag shops have put on my car for a tear-down and valve job.
If anyone has an engine laying around they're willing to put a fair price tag on and throw my way, I'd really appreciate it.
Right now my DD is a '02 Ford Focus wagon, and it drives like a pregnant roller skate.
Thanks in advance. Can hit me up on here, PM, or my cell.

I have a 1.8l NA motor out of my 1994 Impreza I could pull quickly. I was going to run it fwd for a whole but can pull it now if you absolutely must have a motor right away. Tbh though, this thing is a gutless pos IMO, and I plan on turning it into a paperweight.

If you just need a few valves, I can get you going for around $2k. I even have heads so can just pull engine and do a quick swap with new head gaskets. If you have the cash, I can have it running tomorrow night.
