So I head over to Pflueger Cadillac today for my 30k service...service manager spends a little time explaining how they are new to the subaru game and are not affiliated w/subaru of america so no antilock brake upgrade or any recall work etc estimate w/out oil change right at $600. Wow!rant!Wow!
it's actually just fluids dude. very easy stuff to do if you have an entire day to dedicate to your car then you can actually get it done within a couple of hours.
oh and while you're at it even though it's not on the list yo should replace your transmission, front and rear differential fluid as well. that should take care of all your fluids that you need to replace in your car.
i probably don't need this but, for the people who might have questions, how does this affect your tune if you have one?
well just put it this way... in order for you to have a good running car you need to keep up the maintenance. in order to have a good tune you have to have a good running car... so to answer your question more specifically it can dramatically affect your tuning.
my 30k service cost $$$380 in Waipahu Subaru. It can be easily done yourself, but I'm just the type who don't want to risk screwing things up. Anyway, it included oil and filter change, fuel filter, brake fluid change, radiator flush, tire rotation, and i asked them to replace my pcv valve too. That 380 also doesn't include an air filter change, cuz I got a Fram flat panel.
