Subaru Extra-S will be available at Servco Mapunapuna

I stopped by Servco yesterday and spoke to Rick in the parts department...after some discussion of local needs, Rick decided to order several cases of the Subaru Extra-S oil.

Since owning my first 04 STI, I've always used Redline in my transmission and rear diff.

Speaking with Jarrad during the latest PDX tune...he recommended we run the Subaru Extra-S...saying it works flawlessly in our cars.

My LGT's needs prompted me to look for the Extra-S...so I have an order in.

If anyone is interested in purchasing the Extra-S oil, call or go see Rick at the Mapunapuna Servco Subaru parts department...mention you are an I-Club member and you spoke with me (Brent)...you'll get a really nice price.

+1 I used this stuff religiously in all my subies that had standard transmissions. It really makes a difference. Trust me you will feel the difference! Good job Brent!

This is what I want to try when I move to GA. Shipping for this stuff is a beast so i never tried it. I've never used readline, but have heard only good about extra s. Heard it was the best for both weathers vs the amsoil which is good for warmer types

Shipping anything here is not cheap

I did the same as Ogichan sti, I found a guy on NASIOC and he shipped it in.

Said it was a black STi I went outside when I was going to my car looked like a hawk eye with a lot of stuff done to it (externally). Either way it sucks, then heard a tech say the ALS is what blew up the block. I don't know of anyone here that runs a true ALS.

sounds like the dude I saw a few days ago at the px on schofield. Had a fmic (perrin I think), hood like dans but with screen instead of plexi (don't get mad dan if its not plexi, I know its clear!), and I THINK he had a rear roof vortex generator.... dude stopped to park next to me as I was getting into my wifeys van and as soon as he turned it off, mad smoke started coming out his hood vent and it smelled like str8 coolant... dude walked off like it was nothing and I was like......

How could ALS blow a block? That doesn't make sense since you're just dumping fuel with no spark. Dunno anyone that actually does run it here, but it's included/available in any open source tune package.

I think they where mixing ALS with Launch control? Either way I don't know how you would blow an engine doing so. Now the more probable cause was boost spike or going mod crazy and running no tune lol.

It is still interesting that a Subaru dealer does not stock or use Subaru fluids in the vehicles.
