Rotor's need to be turned...
Anyone have a machine shop that they would recommend?
Either Ala Moana Area or Windward side (Kaneohe).
I picked up a spare set of STI rotors from Oliver (mine are pretty hosed)...and need to get them turned and trued...
I attribute a lot of my squeeks to my rotors...(changed out the brake pad, lines, and fluid) but didn't do the rotors at the 30K mark...I know I should have...
Thanks in advance...
Any idea how much it costs to do this?
Brent

i don't understand the term "Turn Rotors". If you're referring to have them cut then that's a different story.
The STI factory pads SQUEAK due to them being more aggressive pads. this is Normal with any race pad. If you do change brake pads (with NEW BRAND NEW PADS) and want to start new then it is recommended to have them cut (at a machine shop like TED's) so that you can start on a new mating surface.
also make sure that you PROPERLY 'BED' YOUR BRAKE PADS when you change them.
hope this helps
