No. If your battery is shifting around, you should not be driving.
I'm talking about weight- a battery is weight and adds to total weight of the car. Weight generates force when you move things side to side. So, the less weight, the better. Feel free to try a 2000lb car in a tight and fast slalom, then try a 3000lb car. I assure you the lighter car will be much faster, tire and power aside.
