Hawaii Subaru Dyno Numbers Thread

I havn't seen anything like this for the Hawaii guys.

List your power related mods and documented power output.

Naming the builder(s) and tuner would be cool.

This should start a few "dyno numbers dont mean anything" arguments.

MODS: Everything.

HP/TQ are like young female ages, they are just a meaningless number

They are polar opposites. You want the ages lower and the dyno numbers higher.

everyone will be using the same dyno here, so it will be a little less meaningless.

This can also put into perspective what exactly is necessary to reach certain goals.

Was this a conservative tune? I would have thought you would have made more with that build.

It isnt an aggressive tune. I could have gotten a little more, but I dont want to push it. I will just wait until I get bigger injectors and stronger gears. I am already babying it because I dont want to break my trans.

The results:

237.9 whp (280 flywheel hp), 235.5 lb/ft tq (279 flywheel lb/ft tq) at 18 psi

As you can see it bogs extremely rich at 3500 - 4000rpm. Its been addressed right by leaning fuel a bit, advancing timing, as well as bumping up the boost duty cycle more in lower RPM areas.

This was just a baseline run at low boost to see where the power/tq curve was. Looking forward to jumping on the dyno again soon!!

Its so hard to find, and when there is a system available, I don't have the money for it. Timing sucks, really.

But the FWD trans can hold more than I expected, and with less drivetrain loss. My car at 2600lbs and 300 flywheel hp (20psi), is equivalent to a car with 420 flywheel hp at 3600lbs.
