Car cranks but won't start
Looking for advice and suggestions:
Background- 06 WRX motor swap into a GC8, short story installed motor 1st time with iWire merged harness. Car fired up and ran fine only problem was head gaskets wasn't torqued properly so ended up pulling motor again to fix issue.
After 2nd install, car fired up and started but after a minute just died and now will just crank but won't run at all.
Other symptoms included:
- no priming from Fuel Pump
- no CEL comes on when I turn ignition on
My fuses seems okay (both under hood and under dash), I also pulled the fuel pump and tested that, as well as swapped the fuel pump controller with a functioning one. Still no sounds of the pump priming.
Maybe it's a ECU thing but I'm stumped on what to do, I want to get my car running so I can join you guys on the monthly meats, LoL!
Please send you posts or PMs!
Thanks
-Brian

Sumbaru- okay will check those items
Krang- I believe it's the right controller, i purchased one from iWire when they merged my harness.

Have you checked the fuel pump relay?
To bypass the fuel pump control unit and ecu. Run a fused switch and relay from battery to fuel pump.
Black/yellow (pin 1) and black (pin 4)wires on connector R56 into fuel pump/level assembly.
This will for sure get fuel to your engine if you have a working pump.
If car runs, permanently install relay to ig power source or dig deeper to find out why you are not getting a complete circuit from the fuel pump control unit.

Okay, will do and see what happens.
Still unsure of why my OBD II scanner wont read any codes or the CEL does not come on. My suspicion is its ECU related. Any thoughts?
thanks for the feedback!
